Job Description
We are seeking a skilled Yard Controller to join one of our clients' team in Vaughan, ON. This position is responsible for the inventory control within distribution, including the inventory counts, adjustments, audits, variance investigations, and reports set by the established policies and procedures.
Hours : Saturday to Wednesday - 8 : 00 AM to 4 : 30 PM
Pay Rate : $18.50 per hour
Main Duties And Responsibilities
- Responsible to work in yard where you will be counting inventory and entering the data into the system.
- Reviews on a daily basis applicable inventory report.
- Review and validate all adjustments and document as required.
- Review inventory reconciliation and receiving discrepancies (ex. shortages, overages, and damages). As required, investigate discrepancies, ensure appropriate communication with the Distribution Center and document if necessary, on the required form.
- Perform physical inventories, if applicable and cycle counts.
- Communicate with management to ensure that potentially compromised products are removed and placed in a secured quarantine area for assessment.
- Responsible to ensure that all records related to Inventory Control of products are accurate, retained and follow Good Documentation Practices.
- Perform all tasks within the scope of all applicable Policy and Procedures (P&P) related with the Inventory Control Clerk role.
- Optimize Inventory; Manage minimum and maximum inventory order.
Qualifications Required
- G License and access to a personal vehicle is needed.
- A minimum high school diploma or GED.
- Good to have inventory control or dispatcher experience.
- Familiar and able to work with computers.
- Prior experience in Inventory Control position.
- Must have their own vehicle.
- Good understanding of MS software (Outlook, Word, PPT & Excel).
