The Role:
Step into a finance role that offers both impact and growth - our client is seeking a Senior Accountant to join their dynamic accounting and finance team. We’re looking for someone ready to bring precision, insight, and collaboration to a high-performing environment. In this role, you’ll be driving the finance team forward as you take ownership of financial reporting, maintain and develop reconciliations, and aid in the daily transaction processing. You’ll help keep records sharp, analyze financial data, and uphold the gold standard of compliance. The ideal candidate is detail-driven, fluent in financial systems, and thrives in cross-functional collaboration. If you’re ready to take your accounting skills to the next level while making a real difference behind the scenes, we’d love to introduce you to this exciting opportunity.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Financial Record-Keeping: Maintain and update general ledger accounts, ensuring accuracy and completeness of financial records for corporate and subsidiary entities.
  • Reconciliations: Perform bank, intercompany, and account reconciliations to identify discrepancies and ensure proper financial reporting.
  • Accounts Payable & Receivable: Process invoices, payments, and collections, ensuring timely and accurate transactions.
  • Financial Reporting: Assist in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and reports.
  • Expense Management: Review and verify expense reports, ensuring compliance with company policies.
  • Tax & Compliance Support: Assist in tax filings, audits, and regulatory compliance by maintaining proper documentation and records.
  • Budgeting & Forecasting Assistance: Support the finance team in preparing budgets and financial projections.
  • Data Analysis: Gather and analyze financial data to support decision-making and improve financial efficiency.
  • Audit Support: Provide necessary documentation and assistance for internal and external audits.
  • Process Improvement: Identify opportunities to enhance financial processes and improve operational efficiency.

Qualifications:
  • CPA, or close to completing CPA
  • Bachelor degree in accounting, finance, or business administration
  • 3+ years experience in accounting environment, prior exposure to gathering, organizing, and inputting information is an asset
