Job Summary :
The Tank Electrician is required to perform tank inspections, repairs and maintenance on the wire powered systems for fuel storage systems which includes, but is not limited to troubleshooting electronic equipment, from lights to plus to cardlock electronics and customer interfaces.
The Tank Electrician position highly impacts other business functions that depend on the accuracy and efficiency of the work being completed.
Your Schedule :
This is a full-time position. Days and hours of work are Monday through Friday, 8 : 00 a.m. to 5 : 00 p.m. This is a physical job, so you must be able to lift / move up to 50 pounds, and there is regular overtime.
Out of town work required 60-70%

What you will do day-to-day :
- Prepare work orders and other necessary paperwork and documentation according to Company and customer requirements
- Repair, maintain, install, and trouble-shoot problems with electronic equipment
- Design and build of control panels
- Maintaining a clean driving record and producing a drivers’ abstract upon request
- Meet scheduling and on-call requirements (service calls, customer service etc.)
- Ensure proper maintenance is conducted for Company tools, equipment and vehicles used
- Meet Company, Customer and Legislative safety standards (i.e., personal protective equipment, equipment / material handling etc.)
- Support Tank Technicians with shop workflow, tank turnaround
- Work with minimal supervision in remote locations alone and sometimes with no cell service
- Willingness to take initiative and provide strong communications skills
- Other related duties as required or assigned.
Other Key Skills :
- Experience in the oil and gas industry would be an asset
- Strong background in hazardous locations or classified zones and understanding of CEC
- Advanced knowledge of MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and e-mail required
- Professional written and verbal communication skills
Experience :
2+ years’ experience in a warehouse / technician capacity
Education :
Valid Journeyperson Electricians License
High School Diploma or GED required
