Reporting directly to the Operations Manager, the Heavy-Duty Mechanic will be responsible for troubleshooting and overseeing repairs on a variety of equipment in a safe, effective, accurate and timely manner.
Key Responsibilities :
- Efficiently and effectively evaluate the working condition of, diagnose, assemble / disassemble, order parts for, and repair equipment.
- Utilize OEM diagnosis software and interface tools to repair a variety of equipment such as Material Handling, Heavy and Compact Equipment.
- Work closely with the OEM Technical support group.
- Interpret work orders and technical manuals.
- Perform routine scheduled, planned maintenance services and safety inspections.
- Make recommendations regarding the extent of repairs and suggest methods of improvement.
- Build and maintain customer relationships through Service Advisor.
- Road test equipment and check attachment operation as required.
- Complete detailed service reports, timecards, warranty documentation and other documentation.
- Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction, through quality of repairs.
- Think logically and keep up with changes in technology.
- Employ workplace health and safety practices at all times.
- Be motivated and able to work in a challenging environment with minimal supervision.

Working Conditions : The Heavy-Duty Mechanic role is based at our Nisku branch, working an average of 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday, with a hybrid focus between shop and field work.
