Job description

All safety-sensitive positions will be subject to Tiger's pre-employment protocol which will include drug and alcohol screening.

Proudly Canadian, Tiger Calcium is one of North America's largest calcium chloride producers, drawing from the largest known natural reserve. We define the industry standard for quality—unmatched in either breadth or scope.

We manufacture, supply, transport and apply premium calcium chloride products for anti-icing, deicing and dust control. But that's not all. We also formulate custom fluids for, available for purchase or rental 24 hours a day, seven days a week and 365 days a year.

Tiger is actively seeking Class 1 Drivers, crucial members of our team, to drive a tractor-trailer unit and deliver calcium chloride to customer locations and field storage locations throughout Western Canada.

What you will do in this role:

  • Operate tractor-trailer unit to deliver products to customers and field storage tanks.
  • Perform pre and post-trip on truck and trailer.
  • Accurate completion of E-Log, adhering to Federal Hours of Service.
  • Loading and unloading products.
  • Represent the company to the customer and the general public in a professional manner.
  • Accurate way-bill recording through TMW.
  • Completion of timesheets, fuel envelopes and mileage envelopes.
  • Maintain a clean and safe workplace.
  • Complete daily job hazard assessments.
  • Adhere and promote Tiger’s Health, Safety and Environmental policies and procedures.

What we are looking for:

  • Valid Class 1 driver’s license.
  • Minimum 3 years of Super B driving experience.
  • 18 Speed experience is considered an asset.
  • Clean driver’s abstract.
  • Geographic knowledge of Western Canada.
  • Liquid bulk hauling, off-road driving, mountain driving, TMW program.
  • Experience working on CN Rail property will be considered an asset.
  • Ability to put tire chains on.
  • Knowledge of Federal Hours of Service.
  • Knowledge of running hydraulic pumps.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, meet deadlines, and adapt to change quickly.
  • Team player with the ability to communicate at an acceptable level with dispatch and customers.
