Requirements
Qualifications :
- Unix system administration experience (5+ years
- Proven experience as a Field Engineer specializing in HP-UX and Solaris.
- Strong understanding of Unix / Linux operating systems.
- Experience with system installation, configuration, and administration.
- Excellent problem-solving skills, with the ability to work under pressure.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and travel to client sites as required.
- Experience with network protocols and services.
- Familiarity with cloud technologies and virtualization.
- Certifications relevant to HP-UX and Solaris systems.
These Additional Skills Are a Bonus :
- Software / hardware migration projects experience
- Experience in system administration of the following :
Major plus : SUN Solaris, versions 2.x 10
Plus : OpenVMS for VAX, Alpha, and Integrity, versions 4.5 - 8.4
Tru64 UNIX, versions 3.x - 5.x
HP MPE-ix, versions 6.0 - 7.5
System and network troubleshooting experience in mixed
Windows / Linux / Solaris / HP-UX / VMS / Tru64 / SAN environment
Understanding and system management experience of virtual environments
VMware, Hyper-V, etc.)
Understanding and system management experience of LAN network
technologies
Understanding and system management experience of storage technologies
SAN / NAS / iSCSI)
