ABOUT THIS OPPORTUNITY Maxxit Systems Inc. is seeking a dedicated and experienced Assembly Department Manager to lead our assembly operations.
The successful candidate will oversee the assembly of furniture for franchise restaurants, signages, stainless steel cabinets, packaging, quality inspection, and the production of wooden skids.
This role involves managing a team 20 employees, ensuring efficient workflow, maintaining high standards of quality, and meeting production deadlines.
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIESOversee day-to-day operations of the assembly department.Manage and supervise a team of permanent and temporary employees.
Ensure all assembly tasks, including furniture assembly, signage production, and cabinet fabrication, are completed efficiently and to high-quality standards.
Implement and monitor quality control procedures.Coordinate with other departments to ensure timely and accurate delivery of products.
Maintain a safe and organized work environment.Train and develop team members, providing guidance and support as needed.Manage inventory of materials and ensure timely procurement to avoid production delays.
Continuously assess and improve assembly processes for efficiency and cost-effectiveness.REQUIREMENTSProven experience in an assembly or production management role.
At least 5 years of similar experience required.Ability to read and interpret blueprints and drawings.Strong leadership and team management skills.
Excellent organizational and time-management abilities.Proficient in quality control and inventory management.Knowledge of health and safety regulations.
Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.Effective communication skills.Previous background in the cabinet or furniture industry is an asset.
Experience with furniture assembly, signage production, and metal fabrication preferred.Proficiency with assembly tools and machinery.
High school diploma or equivalent; additional education or certifications in manufacturing or management are a plus.Desired Skills : Problem-solving and analytical thinking.
Attention to detail.Strong interpersonal skills.Experience in training and mentoring staff.Ability to implement and monitor production schedules.
