Hello world! If you're an organizationally-inclined project manager with experience interfacing with clients, we should connect.
For a long time, our small team (of about 10) has scraped by with less-than-adequate PM capabilities, which kind of put strain on everyone.
It was fine when workloads were low, but not too fair when the pressure was on. That's why we're looking for someone with some pretty senior experience in project or product management, especially in a context where you'd have to help us manage multiple parallel projects, on contract.
We're a pretty technical team. Most of us are either designers or developers, and when things are good, we function like a well-oiled machine.
First, a little about us : - We're a venture studio specializing in web software- Progressive work culture (we think)- Small team (we keep it < 15)- Fully remote, although many of us are in Toronto- Been around for 10 years- Counter-cultural / non-corporate conventions- Fascinated by new tech and always seeking to push boundaries- Work exclusively with tech companies, and build our own web products- Work in emerging tech, open source, AI, and the decentralized spaceOkay, next let's talk about what we need : - PM experience (we don't expect a PMP or anything too formal, but years of background in product or projects would be needed)- Somewhat technically inclined (someone technical isn't needed, but you should be able to track)- Bonus points if you have good design sensibilities- Bonus points if you're familiar with marketing principles on the web- Bonus points if you've worked in a product studio, agency, or other multi-project context- MacOS user- Really strong verbal and written communication (we realize everyone asks for this lol)Role requirements- Project setup- Ticket management and triage- Assign work to team members- Ability to lead calls- Manage, and be aware of, scheduling- Check-ins (internal and external)- Reports to leadershipSoftware and tools we use a lot- Slack- Notion- Figma- GithubIf we sound like the kind of team you'd like to work with, let's connect and see where the conversation takes us.
Send over a resume or some kind of brief on you and your work experience.
