We are seeking an experienced Senior Underwriting Specialist or Senior Underwriter to join our client's renowned insurance firm.
This role is critical in managing and driving profitable growth within our Environmental Impairment Liability (EIL) portfolio.
The ideal candidate will oversee underwriting processes, support and train team members for their professional growth, and build strong relationships with key broker partners and clients.
This position is based in Toronto but is also open to candidates in Calgary, Vancouver, and Montreal.
Responsibilities :
- Oversee a portfolio of new and renewal EIL business to drive profitable growth within the region.
- Partner with internal teams (risk services, actuary, claims) to achieve growth targets through technical research and effective relationship management.
- Support regional new business goals by maintaining a robust pipeline of prospects through strategic marketing, cross-selling, and account management with key broker partners.
Skills & Qualifications :
- At least 4 years of experience in commercial underwriting, with a focus on Environmental Impairment Liability (EIL) and / or Commercial General Liability (CGL).
- Deep understanding of CGL and EIL policy wordings and their impact on various claims scenarios.
