As a Technical Product Development & Support Specialist, you'll be an integral part of our team, responsible for ensuring the successful execution of technical development functions.

With a cross-functional technical development and customer-centric mindset, this position will play a vital role in shaping the future of our products and impact across the industry.

This role combines a technical understanding and hands-on involvement to guide new product development efforts with a customer-centric mindset focused on successful delivery based on thorough product, customer, competitor, and market understanding.

Key Responsibilities :

  • Execute innovation projects with significant business impact, including projects that involve the development of patentable and proprietary technology.
  • Demonstrate technical expertise for new product development, service support, and high-quality technical plans and deliverables.
  • Serve in the role of sales engineer by providing expertise and support to commercial teams through the communication of technical information about products, applications, and services.
  • Develop, maintain, and present course curriculum for on-site instruction of channel partners and end users in the operation and basic maintenance of the IQT and newly developed products.
  • Actively work to learn markets, products, and industries to conduct comprehensive research and develop a complete understanding.
  • Continually develop personal competencies and stay abreast of industry and market trends, competitors, and emerging technologies and analyze their impact on customers.
  • Analyze voice of customer and market research to guide new product development and ensure the product meets the market needs and achieves product goals.
  • Identify and assess market challenges, opportunities, and threats and provide leadership to ensure efficient and high-quality response.
  • Support the development of strong customer and channel partner relationships to drive sales and establish lasting relationships.
  • Actively interact with applicable industry governing bodies and standards organizations such as ASTM, EI, CEN, CGSB, etc.
  • Participate in and network at conferences and tradeshows to promote company capabilities.

What We're Looking For :

  • Education : Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Mechanical or Electrical preferred)
  • Experience : Minimum of 8 years of technical engineering experience or a combination of equivalent education and experience;

prior research and development experience is a plus.

  • Industry experience : B2B and energy sector business experience preferred.
  • Technical acumen : Thorough understanding of, and ability to read blueprints, diagrams, and schematics.
  • Software : Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint; strong knowledge of other Microsoft Suite applications.
  • Business Acumen : Strong business acumen and technical knowledge to succinctly align customer needs with the product value proposition.
  • Strategic : Strategic thinker with resourceful and proactive decision-making and problem-solving abilities.
  • Flexible : Multitasker able to work in a fast-paced environment managing diverse responsibilities. Ability to manage multiple assignments, set priorities, and drive to exceed targets.
  • Motivated : Self-motivated and a self-starter with a customer-centric and business-focused mindset.
  • Visionary : Highly motivated with an ability to translate vision into actionable plans.
  • Intercultural : Ability to adapt to global cultures, customer expectations, and preferences.
  • Communication : Excellent oral, written, phone, and presentation communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to concisely communicate technical concepts to non-technical audiences.
  • Analytical : Organized with strong analytical understanding and great attention to detail.
  • Time Management : Versatile team player able to work in a small group with many changing responsibilities.
  • Travel : Ability to travel, domestically and internationally (25-35%).
