Why is this role important :
The Specialist, Brand Marketing, supporting the Super Market Division, provides tactical support for the development and execution of marketing campaigns and programs.
Reporting to the Director, Brand Development, Super Market Division, this role is an early step in the brand marketing career path, and supports cross-functional campaign teams through close analysis of insights and trends, and owning the details in campaign delivery to ensure seamless execution.
The successful candidate will help execute key business initiatives and campaigns, including branded and store-level social media content, 360 media and in-store campaigns.
What you'll do :
Social Media Strategy & Content : Supports the Social CoE in executing the divisional social media strategy and content calendar, builds and leads social content briefs, reviews and gives feedback on creative, leads promotional activations, drives reporting and optimization recommendations to the business.
Campaign Planning : Supports the brand team in developing the marketing brief, including compiling consumer / business insights (e.
g., insights from the Customer CoE) and pulling in relevant past campaign data to advise standard processes
Campaign Execution - Creative : Supports the brand team in coordinating with internal / external agency counterparts, and other partners (e.
g., Loblaw Media, Loblaw Digital) for the review and approval of creative; closely reviews creative against established brand guidelines, and aggregates feedback provided by collaborators (e.
g., Marketing and Division leadership)
- Campaign Execution - Deployment : Coordinates campaign deployment, ensuring the launch and execution aligns to campaign objectives;
- proactively monitors in-flight campaigns for optimization opportunities, flags them to the team, and implements decisions;
actions other execution-related needs from the Division / Merchant teams, or local store operations, as required
Optimization, Innovation & Best Practices : Contributes to the post-mortem process, including working with partners to compile campaign performance report reports with key measures, participating in post-mortem discussions, and documenting findings
Campaign Metrics & Tracking : Supports budget planning, development and monitoring / updating (including status reports);
updates brand / project / important metric dashboards; contributes to research, analysis and reporting to inform campaign activity
Billing : Oversees management of budget control report, making sure campaigns are delivered in full against the planned budget.
Also responsible for ensuring vendor invoices paid in a timely manner

Marketing brief writing

1-3 years of experience in CPG or Retail Marketing environment, supporting marketing campaigns, including writing marketing briefs
Experience working in teams, preference for cross-functional team experience
Experience owning projects from to planning to execution
