In your day-to-day activities, you’ll work with multiple customers, as a consultant and trusted partner in Sandalwood’s areas of expertise of Systems Integration, Injury Prevention and Systems Engineering.

We're currently looking for a Facilities Engineer to join our growing team of engineering and ergonomics professionals helping our customers reduce their work-related risk to quality, productivity, and employee health.

You will work as part of a team to provide engineering documents / designs, project management and field coordination of projects for a major automotive OEM.

Further details about the role are as follows :

Responsibilities :

  • Coordinate all facility engineering and construction activities at client site.
  • Make recommendations regarding construction, safety, and project planning.
  • Support procurement of resources necessary for project success.
  • Create and present reports of project progress to management.
  • Assist in developing concept layouts and designs, scope of work, and budgets as needed.

Successful candidates will have the following attributes :

  • Experience in facilities engineering and project management.
  • Experience with automotive manufacturing facilities.
  • Professional Engineering license.
  • Ability to establish priorities, work both independently and in team settings.
  • A professional manner with excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Strong analytical, problem solving and organizational skills.
  • Ability to interact effectively across all levels of the organization.
  • Detail oriented self-starter who works well as a part of a diverse team.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering or a related discipline or proven experience.
  • Three years of facilities engineering and project management. Licensed Professional Engineers preferred.
  • Familiarity with Architectural, Structural, Mechanical and Electrical engineering.
  • Ability to work effectively in a hybrid / majority on-site assignment.
  • Legally authorized for work in the United States.
