Client in Windsor, ON is seeking an Electrical Engineer for a contract position.

Job Summary

Our client is looking for an Electrical Engineer - Power and Signal Distribution - PSP. This is a contract position.

What You Will Do

Design and release wiring harness assemblies and related components.
Coordinate drawing creation, CAD release in Teamcenter and validate released components in vehicle and component environments.
Support manufacturing facilities throughout the life cycle and manage a supplier engineering support team.
Manage large amounts of data and work comfortably in corporate computer systems.

Basics

Bachelor of Science in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering from an ABET accredited university.

3 years of transportation wiring design and release experience or vehicle electrical system experience.

Excellent communication skills, including writing, creation, and presentation of management-level materials.

Proficient in MS Office suite (PowerPoint, Excel, Word).

Good troubleshooting skills.

Wiring or electrical experience with a supplier or OEM.

Driving of a vehicle required.

Travel to USA (Auburn Hills, Chelsea) and occasional supplier plant visits.

Preferred

Master of Science in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering from an ABET accredited university.

Training in DFMEA, DVP&R, and DFSS development tools and processes.

Working knowledge of CAD systems (NX, Catia).

Fluency in Italian and / or Spanish.

Experience in high volume manufacturing facilities.

Familiarity with wiring harness drawings and specifications for automotive applications.

Experience with SharePoint data management environments.
