About this role

We are recruiting for a Project Manager to join our Design Build team at our Burnaby office. Here's how your role will strengthen our team.

If you love being part of building some of the most meaningful and needed Hospital projects in British Columbia then this is the position for you! Come be part of the team building large complex multi-year healthcare facilities for our communities!

You will be on a team of up to 250 people pursuing, designing, planning, and executing Electrical and Technology project scopes.

This role is best suited for those with strong project management and leadership skills. Skills in electrical or technology systems design is definitely an asset.

Your responsibilities

• Control the time, cost and quality of construction projects and manage project financial performance
• Plan and coordinate all aspects of the construction process, including hiring contractors and working with engineers, architects and vendors
• Develop / assemble start-up submittals and other project documentation as per the contract requirements. (This would include safety, environmental, QA / QC, insurance, bonding, permits, etc.)
• Review contracts for onerous clauses and conditions
• Estimate changes and manage project financial performance
• Work with the foreman and superintendent as a team to review the project documents and discuss labour requirements and staffing

Your experience and skills

• 5+ years of project management experience in a related industry
• Demonstrated experience completing multiple projects from start-up to close out
• High school Diploma & Electrical TQ or Electrical Engineering Degree or equivalent
• Proficient in MS Office, AutoCAD, Accubid, MS Project
• Financial acumen and basic understanding of contract law
• Ability to create a detailed project schedule
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to understand customer's needs
• PMP Certification, an asset

Salary range : $95,000-$115,000 per year plus a competitive total compensation package. Actual salary will be commensurate with experience, skills and overall match to the position offered.
