Position Overview
Leasing Agents are the first point of contact with prospective tenants. They will provide prospects with the best fitting housing options, answering questions throughout the way, and securing the deal by guiding them through the lease signing process.
They meet the prospective tenant's housing needs and provide solutions while promoting Accommod8u's values.
Duties & Responsibilities :
Leasing & Sales
- Be an industry and market expert by consistently conducting market research; work with management on developing sales strategies and marketing campaigns
- Greet prospective tenants, answer their inquiries, conduct property tours to show suites to potential tenants
- Educate customers on signing process, facilitate signing and the completion of a strong leasing application
- Ensure all prospects leave property with thorough knowledge of property benefits, availability, and leasing process if unable to sign a contract at that time
Administrative
- Be the first point of contact for Customer Service matters (including fielding calls, email inquiries, and
- Ensure completion from lead to lease of all accounts, following up to collect any outstanding documentation
- Managing own pipeline of leads, opportunities, and applicants and related appointment bookings (meetings, calls, property tours)
Operational Support
- Be a business partner to leadership by assisting other departments resolve complex challenges
- Act as secondary reception; answer phone calls and direct them to the correct department or contact
- Report any problems related to tenant rent payment, property maintenance, and any corrections for external communications, contracts, or notices to appropriate department manager
- Other duties as required.
Requirements :
- College diploma or university degree preferred
- 1+ year experience in residential leasing or property management industry
- Reliably walk or drive between properties as needed
- Social media or online marketing experience an asset
- Previous experience in sales, hospitality, or customer service role an asset
- Strong communication and time management skills
- Experience using Yardi Voyager or a similar CRM
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office suite
