The Job!

Reporting to the Executive Director, you play a key role in the business’s success. You will :

  • Oversee business operations across the organization.
  • Contribute and execute the strategic vision for the organization.
  • Develop strategies to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Determine and implement best practices for daily and overall operations.
  • Lead the Operations team, handling performance reviews, coaching, KPIs, etc.
  • Develop and implement policies and procedures, making updates as required.
  • Oversee and maintain daily finances.
  • Perform basic Human Resources functions and support for employees..
  • Foster an engaging, collaborative, and productive work culture.
  • Utilize data insights to drive process improvements.
  • Evaluate business performance and determine strategies for success.
  • Participate in preparation for the annual audit and plan the annual general meeting.

What you bring to the job

Above all, you are passionate about serving youth and the community as well as supporting the arts. You are eager to optimize operations and able to identify what can be enhanced to maximize efficiency.

You thrive in a collaborative space and enjoy taking the lead. You also have :

  • At least 5 years of experience in a non-profit organization.
  • A bachelor’s degree in a relevant field would be a strong asset.
  • Extensive experience with operational planning and implementing best practices.
  • High capability in strategy development and execution, problem-solving, delegation, and conflict resolution.
  • Strong leadership skills with experience managing and motivating teams.
  • Proven experience tracking program performance metrics, outcomes, and key indicators.
  • Successful experience in managing various programs for racialized and marginalized groups.
  • Thorough knowledge of youth social services and working with marginalized communities.
  • High degree of knowledge and experience with essential HR and business finance functions.
  • Strong capabilities in managing day-to-day finances and operations including facility management.
  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills.
