Asa Code Enforcement Officer you will be responsible for enforcinglocal codes and regulations related to property maintenance landuse and zoning.
Your role will be crucial in maintaining communitystandards and ensuring compliance with municipal codes andordinances.
KeyResponsibilities :
- Inspectproperties and sites to ensure compliance with local building codeszoning regulations and property maintenancestandards.
- Investigatecomplaints and reports of code violations documenting findings andtaking appropriate enforcementactions.
- Issuecitations and notices of violation to property owners and tenantsoutlining required corrective measures anddeadlines.
- Conductfollowup inspections to ensure compliance with correction ordersand resolve outstandingissues.
- Preparedetailed reports and documentation related to inspectionsviolations and enforcementactions.
- Educatethe public and property owners about code requirements enforcementprocedures and the appealsprocess.
- Collaboratewith other municipal departments agencies and communityorganizations to address and resolve code enforcementissues.
- Stayupdated on changes to codes regulations and industry best practicesto ensure accurate and effectiveenforcement.
Requirements
- Relevantcertification or diploma in Code Enforcement Public Administrationor a relatedfield.
- Previousexperience in code enforcement property management or a similarrole with a strong understanding of local codes andregulations.
- Excellentobservational and analytical skills for identifying and documentingcodeviolations.
- Strongcommunication skills for interacting with property owners tenantsand municipalofficials.
- Abilityto manage multiple cases and maintain accurate records in adetailed and organizedmanner.
