Behavioral Therapist
The Play Base is currently looking for experienced, energetic, fun, and deeply passionate behaviour therapist to provide support to clients in Toronto and the GTA with various behavioural and developmental needs, in the home, school and community settings.
The Play Base offers a play-based and child-led approach to ABA in order to help our clients reach their developmental, educational, social, emotional and psychological needs.
With our child-centred approach, which is created using the relationship between child and therapist and based on the principles of Applied Behaviour Analysis, we provide individualized treatment plans in the natural environment to foster the growth and development of our clients.
Our ultimate goal is to enrich the lives of our families and have each child reach their full potential and live a happy, healthy and fulfilling life.
Responsibilities :
- Deliver 1 : 1 ABA therapy in home, community or school under the supervision of the senior therapist / clinical supervisor (BCaBA / BCBA)
- Demonstrate a passion for creating and maintaining a fun-filled rapport in which learning objectives are delivered in a naturalistic play-based manner
- Follow a prescribed behaviour plan and carefully implement the therapeutic intervention program
- Record and graph data
- Prep materials
- Monitor programs and client progress
- Write session notes
- Participate in parent trainings, professional development and meetings with the clinical team as needed
- Communicate with team, supervisor(s) and client family

The ideal candidate :
- Willing to work towards or already has their RBT Certification
- Reliable transportation
- Loves to have fun and great play skills
- Loves to work with children of all ages and needs
- Is passionate about helping others
- Has excellent written and oral communication
- Is a team player
- Has a valid drivers license and access to a vehicle
- CPR Certification
Qualifications
- RBT (not required)
- Current Police Vulnerable Sector Check (within the last 6 months)
- First Aid + CPR
- Experience with ABA considered an asset!
- Canadian work authorization
Job Types : Contract, Part-time, Full-time
Salary : $21.00 - $25.00 per hour
