We advise through the full lifecycle of core infrastructure projects and public-private partnerships across Canada and globally, from strategy, policy and business case development, transactions, ongoing asset management, renewal and disposal.

Your key responsibilities
As an Analyst or Associate, you will have the opportunity to work within our SaT Infrastructure Advisory practice. You will have an integral role that involves working closely with other members of the rapidly growing national Infrastructure Advisory team to execute a variety of engagements related to the planning, development, delivery and operations of major infrastructure projects.

- Able to competently undertake thoughtful quantitative and / or qualitative analysis, with a willingness to learn or develop your analytical skills, and a strong level of technological literacy, including the construction of complex financial models
- Able to research and analyze information from a range of sources including financial, commercial, public policy, academic and industry sources to be used in competitive analysis, industry analysis, financial and non-financial scenario analysis and negotiation support, and various other applications
- Able to prepare clearly written, quality drafts of reports and presentations for client submissions and meetings
- Interested in growing in terms of sales and business development, contributing to executing EY's "go-to-market" client development strategy
To qualify for the role you must have
- Analyst : 2+ years of work experience in an infrastructure related field or relevant experience in commercial, financial, economic, strategic, and / or infrastructure policy analysis
- Associate : 4+ years of relevant work experience in an infrastructure related field; with relevant experiences across one or more of : Major capital projects, including strategy and policy, development of project options and business cases Commercial advisory and / or consideration of alternative procurement models Financial analysis and modeling, and / or consideration of economic costs and benefits Contract management, disputes and / or asset management.
- Undergraduate degree (business, commerce, law, economics or engineering, other degrees may be considered);
- Strong analytical skills and capability to provide quality deliverables with an attention to detail
- Strong interpersonal and presentation skills for a range of audiences
- Strong interest in support the development and delivery of a broad range of critical infrastructure
Some or all of the following are considered desirable, but not mandatory :
- An MBA / Master's degree / CFA / CBV
- Working knowledge of the infrastructure delivery lifecycle, with relevant experience in one or more of strategy and business case development, commissioning and procurement, transactions, asset management and disputes.
- Working knowledge of accounting concepts and principles (CPA not required)
- Working knowledge of debt financing and capital markets and / or project financing markets
- Working knowledge of capital project procurement models (DBB, DB, CMAR, IPD, PDB, P3, etc.)
- Ability to obtain a Government of Canada security clearance
- This role role involves interaction with clients operating nationally and globally. Bilingualism in both French and English is therefore a requirement of this role.
