We seek an Engineering Manager to manage, train, and lead a talented team of engineers to tackle a variety of projects across many platforms.

You will work closely with team members who are excited to grow their careers and continue to launch engaging high-quality projects.

We are looking for someone who is excited about mentoring game engineers who are at the initial stages of their careers and has had experience with people management.

With expertise in all areas of game programming, our engineers are adept at writing code from scratch as well as working with middleware and existing tools.

Our flexibility allows us to partner with our clients to determine the best technology plan that enables the successful execution of each project.

Established in 2004, Lakshya Digital, a Keywords Studio, is a worldwide interactive entertainment and game development services studio.

We have game production studios in India, Seattle, and Manila with business offices in London, Tokyo, and San Diego.

We are looking for top quality remote programming talent to become part of our studio based in Redmond, WA, to help facilitate our effort to grow our offering of highly rated art, animation, and design to include all forms of Co-Development.

As the Studio’s Engineering Manager, you will build and supervise a team of programmers to ensure the consistent delivery of top-quality technical solutions and documentation, as well as assist with plans that satisfy both externally and internally created specifications for multiple projects.

Our Engineering Manager must possess relevant technical skills while in a similar role on at least one AAA Current Gen console game.

Previous experience working with an external development team, or as a service vendor, is a big plus. Applicants with Game Development backgrounds preferred.

Responsibilities :

Perform Code reviews, provide quality feedback in our tracking tools, support collaboration and communication between our PMs, Programmers, and External Artists on multiple projects.

Work with Account Management to ensure overall client satisfaction when interfacing with clients directly.

  • Will be needed to work directly with the client tech teams and is responsible to ensuring high quality customer support and respectful collaboration.
  • Regularly collaborate and support mid-to-large sized external teams (6 to 10 programmers) to find production solutions that uphold the client’s quality expectations and adhere to established technical requirements.

Contributing innovative and original ideas towards all aspects of production and support of PMs and Account Managers.

  • Able to prioritize and provide feedback and review for more than two projects at a time.
  • Work with the Project Managers and other leads and to identify risks, develop solid estimates, pipelines, schedules, and production plans.
  • Manage and mentor junior to senior level game programmers. Demonstrate, communicate, and exemplify clear expectations for quality of work, productivity, communication, and professionalism to the team.’

Requirements :

  • Previous leadership / management experience
  • Considerable experience at a game studio (any size)
  • Deep understanding of C / C++
  • Strong debugging skills
  • Able to adapt to new codebases and platforms
  • Passion for personal development and mentoring others
  • The ability to hire and manage multiple remote tech groups
  • Have shipped and ported games between multiple current gen games platforms and engines (PC, Xbox, Sony, Unreal and Unity)
  • Must be highly organized, self-driven, customer focused, and a great team player.
  • Must be able to travel internationally 10-15% of the year.
  • P.Eng or equivalent industry experience.
