ABM is seeking a compassionate and dedicated Early Childhood Assistant Program Instructor to support the daily operations of our early childhood education program.
The ideal candidate will be passionate about teaching, have a deep understanding of their subject area, and be committed to helping students achieve their career goals.
Duties
- Deliver engaging and effective instruction in Early Childhood Assistant program to students.
- Develop and update course materials, including syllabi, lesson plans, and assignments.
- Assess and evaluate student performance through quizzes, projects, and other assessments.
- Provide constructive feedback and support to students to facilitate their learning and growth.
- Maintain accurate records of student attendance, grades, and progress.
- Participate in departmental meetings and contribute to curriculum development.
- Stay current with industry trends and best practices to ensure course content is relevant and up-to-date.
- Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment that encourages student participation and engagement.
- Develop and implement age-appropriate curriculum to stimulate children's cognitive, social, and emotional growth
- Provide a nurturing and supportive environment for children to thrive
- Plan and conduct activities that promote physical, mental, and social development
- Monitor and assess children's progress and communicate effectively with parents
- Maintain a clean and organized classroom conducive to learning
Qualifications
- A bachelor's degree or college diploma in Early Childhood Education from a registered institution in Canada with a minimum of five (5) years current working experience as an Early Childhood Educator in Canada
- Current membership in the provincial association for Early Childhood Educators.
- Knowledge of early childhood education principles and practices
- Results-driven, self-motivated, and detail-oriented.
- Strong organizational, research, and accuracy skills.
- Sharp listening skills and critical thinking.
- Exceptional verbal and written communications.
- Must have sensitivity and ability to successfully interact with diverse populations.
- Committed to quality and a thorough approach to the work.
