Accounting And Reporting Advisory Consultant

Our client the BIG FOUR consulting firm is hiring for theconsultant position in Toronto. This is a contract position. Theyare looking to hire an independent contractor for their upcomingengagements.

• The hourly compensation rate is negotiable. TheAccounting & Reporting Advisory Consultant (ARA) may beresponsible for but is not limitedto;
• Work directly with clients oncomplex technical accounting matters and preparation of complexaccounting and process memorandums under IFRS ASPE and U.S.GAAP.
• Work on transactions related todisruptive events including support accounting due diligenceengagements as well as clients with initial public offeringsprospectus and other regulatory filings.
• Reviewand contribute to the planning and execution of projects creatinginvoices managing budget and oversight of resourceallocation.
• Develop and lead timelycommunications both internal and external relevant to ourprofessionals and clients.
• Develop materialsfor and participate in the delivery of presentations to clients andfirm personnel.
• Contribute to market andeminence initiatives including development of new service offeringsand marketing campaigns within thepractice.
• Opportunities may arise to serveclients and / or support local office teams around the country orinternationally.
• Possess strong technicalaccounting skills in on or more financial reporting frameworks(ASPE IFRS public sector accounting standards or U.S. GAAP).
• Pursuing or completed CPA CAdesignation.
• Strong communication facilitationand presentation skills.
• Proficient abilitiesin synthesizing data into succinct deliverables for theclient.
• Finance experience including accountingresearch memo writing and relatedprocesses.
• Experience with project problemdiagnosis solution development client communications facilitationof decision making documentation managing client expectations andteam leadership.
• Background inAudit.
• Experience with accounting processesinternal controls control certification securities and regulatoryrisk assessments.
• Capacity to think aboutrequirements from a strategic perspective (options available pros / cons of different options).
• Experienced inproject management discipline and structure proven ability todeliver the full cycle of project managementaccountabilities.
• Experienced with projectproblem diagnosis solution development client communicationsfacilitation of decision making documentation managing clientexpectations and team leadership.
