Reporting to the Manager, Operational Process Efficiency, the Project Analyst Student will assist in performing audits on process compliance within the various operations of the Utilities business unit.
Please note : This is a 12-month co-op opportunity.
What You’ll Do Here :
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather and document current business processes.
- Observe and report deviations from standard operating procedures.
- Determine root causes for deviations and perform impact analyses.
- Present safety and utilization metrics on weekly equipment calls to operations teams.
- Create process documentation, including flowcharts and standard operating procedures.
- Identify improvement opportunities; develop and present recommendations to management and monitor their implementation.
- Determine what processes are being followed and if purported benefits have been realized.
- Work with management to develop solutions and provide value-added services for Utilities’ dynamic operational environment.
- Drive an inclusive culture to promote equity, welcome different perspectives, and enable career progression by fostering a sense of belonging.
What You Bring to the Team :
- Must be able to work well within a team environment as well as individually.
- Strong organizational and time management skills with an ability to multi-task.
- Ability to adhere to project schedules and meet deadlines.
- Microsoft Office proficient with strong Excel, PowerPoint, and Word skills.
- Experience working with SAP is preferred.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and oral, and the confidence and ability to work with all levels of staff and management within a large organization.
- Experience in the utilities industry an asset.
- Methodical and thorough approach to diagnosing problems.
