Responsibilities :
- Take overall responsibility for the coordination of the delivery of multi disciplinary transportation projects with other Transportation Departments and other corporate business units.
- Oversee and ensure financial performance of the individual projects
- Demonstrate leadership to motivate and maximize individual performance
- Oversee project teams to establish client needs and coordination of work
- Mentor junior and intermediate staff
- Develop the client base and project experience of the department
- Engaging with clients, teaming partners and other stakeholders promote the design capabilities of the department
- Provide excellent customer service to our clients fostering repeat business
- Develop new business for the Transportation department through business development activities
- Participate with Go / No go decisions to pursue new opportunities
- Work with our Business development team to respond to requests for proposals including preparation of workplans and fees
Qualifications :
- Professional Engineering license
- Minimum 10 years of project or design management experience leading engineering design projects and leading multi-discipline engineering teams
- Experience in leading projects utilizing industry recognized design delivery processes, software and project delivery platforms (i.
e. OpenRoads, Civil 3D) is an asset.
- Strong organizational and interpersonal skills combined with excellent oral, written and presentation skills
- Commitment to quality service excellence
- Experience managing project financials and project deliverables
- Strong working relationship with clients, both municipal and provincial
- Experience with Alternative Project Delivery such as Design-Build, P3. or AFP delivery model for transportation infrastructure is an asset
