Responsibilities :

• Take overall responsibility for the coordination of the delivery of multi disciplinary transportation projects with other Transportation Departments and other corporate business units.
• Oversee and ensure financial performance of the individual projects
• Demonstrate leadership to motivate and maximize individual performance
• Oversee project teams to establish client needs and coordination of work
• Mentor junior and intermediate staff
• Develop the client base and project experience of the department
• Engaging with clients, teaming partners and other stakeholders promote the design capabilities of the department
• Provide excellent customer service to our clients fostering repeat business
• Develop new business for the Transportation department through business development activities
• Participate with Go / No go decisions to pursue new opportunities
• Work with our Business development team to respond to requests for proposals including preparation of workplans and fees

Qualifications :

• Professional Engineering license
• Minimum 10 years of project or design management experience leading engineering design projects and leading multi-discipline engineering teams
• Experience in leading projects utilizing industry recognized design delivery processes, software and project delivery platforms (i.

e. OpenRoads, Civil 3D) is an asset.

• Strong organizational and interpersonal skills combined with excellent oral, written and presentation skills
• Commitment to quality service excellence
• Experience managing project financials and project deliverables
• Strong working relationship with clients, both municipal and provincial
• Experience with Alternative Project Delivery such as Design-Build, P3. or AFP delivery model for transportation infrastructure is an asset
