Cutler is looking for a highly driven senior level Interior Designer who can work with our partners to help lead our interior design division.

Responsibilities
- With support from our Architecture team, lead multiple complex commercial tenant improvement projects.
- Provide guidance and mentorship to other team members.
- Integrate with Cutlers processes and design philosophies to deliver quality work.
- Build client relationships and participate in design presentations and business development pitches.
- Work with our clients to determine programming requirements and establish project goals / objectives.
- Work with the team to produce compelling and informative presentations that exceed visual expectations.
- Prepare 3D modeling during design development to clearly convey the design intent to the client.
- Research, gather, recommend, and present to the team appropriate finishes and furnishings that capture the functional, aesthetic, environmental, and budgetary requirements of the project.
- Understanding on how texture, light, colour interact to create an environment.
- Specify furniture, lighting, fixtures & hardware.
- Produce contract documentation for client review, permit applications, tender and construction that aligns with Cutler quality standards using CAD & REVIT.
- Co-ordinate with and manage external team including engineers, consultants, vendors and general contractors.
- Manage team deliverables, project schedules, and project fees.
- Understand the requirements of the plans, life safety, building codes, and other technical aspects.
- Assist with permit and bid applications as required.
- Actively participate in professional development and Cutler peer reviews.
- Support or lead contract administration and attend site visits to ensure design conformance.
Requirements
- Degree / Diploma in Interior Design or related field.
- Minimum 10 years of work experience in commercial projects.
- Armed with excellent time management and organizational skills.
- Proficient in CAD and / or REVIT for producing high quality construction documentation.
- Self-directed, able to work independently and know when to reach out for guidance and support.
- Passionate about design and project execution.
- Fluent in English with strong oral and written communication skills.
- A compelling design portfolio and great references.
