Security Engineer - Database Engineer

Description

The Crypto Engineering team is looking for Database Engineers to certify and perform Database Encryption. We are looking for DB experts to certify and test Encryption use cases involving both native encryption (TDE) and managing keys on external Key Management systems.

As Engineers, we are tasked with the proposal, design, build, and automation of the solution.

This role will be responsible for solutions using technologies such as :

  • CipherTrust Manager
  • Hardware Security Module (HSM)

Job Requirements

  • Minimum 7+ years in a DB Engineering role in large enterprise
  • Expertise applying TDE on SQL and Oracle in large enterprise
  • 5 years' experience with MongoDB
  • Previous experience with automation for DB
  • Strong hands on keyboard experience with Linux
  • Experience certifying the encryption on various storage technologies (Databases, Storage).
  • Working knowledge of various cryptographic and encryption technologies and standards (Symmetric / Asymmetric cryptography)
  • In depth knowledge of various security controls
  • proven track record of successful implementations in a large enterprise
  • Strong analytical, reasoning, and organizational skills are essential.
  • Excellent verbal and written communications skills are essential.
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with all levels of personnel both internally and externally, e.

g. leadership, executives, clients, vendors, and agencies.

  • Proven ability to work in a fast paced environment and manage multiple deadlines and priorities.
  • Work closely & collaboratively with Internal Engineering, Deployment & Operations teams to drive design adoption across IT
  • Ability to transfer knowledge to fellow team members.
  • Ability to make engineering design decisions, efficiently build solutions, solves technical problems, and makes improvements to our systems.

Nice to have :

  • Experience with either CipherTrust Manager and / or HSMs
  • Previous experience with Key Management systems
  • Security certification (CISSP, CCSP, etc)
