Who Are They Looking For :
As a Senior Contract Administrator, you coordinate contract administration activities, ensuring seamless alignment between on-site activities and project demands.
You are instrumental in supporting project teams during the construction phase to make sure contractual responsibilities are fulfilled, bridging communication between on-site personnel and the studio, and swiftly tackling any issues that emerge.
You merge construction and design knowledge with solid leadership abilities to adeptly navigate the day-to-day challenges of projects on site, ensuring the successful realization of projects that meet and aim to exceed client expectations.
What You Will Do :
- Provide construction administration functions for assigned projects on-site and within the office.
- Attend and actively contribute to owner, architect, and contractor site meetings.
- Facilitate meetings to resolve escalated site issues or shop drawing details.
- Facilitate and ensure timely review and return of contractor shop drawings, Request for Information (RFIs).
- Prepare and distribute Site Instructions.
- Conduct monthly site review visits to monitor the quality and design intent of contract documents and prepare General Review Reports.
- Perform occupancy reviews and project close outs.
- Prepare Change Notices, Change Orders including review and approval of contractor quotations.
- Review contractor monthly applications for progress payment and prepare Certificates of Payments.
- Evaluate and certify substantial completion.
- Review and process closeout submittals.
What You Will Bring :
- Diploma in Architectural Technology or degree in Architecture.
- Proficiency in Revit, MS Office, Bluebeam.
- 3-5 years architectural experience including Construction Administration.
- Knowledge of building codes and other regulatory jurisdictions.
- Strong communication, critical thinking, and effective problem-solving skills.
- A driver's license is required as you will be going offsite within the province and other parts of Canada.
