About the Role
Co-Ex-Tec is seeking a Materials Supply Engineer to support SAP development and activities in our purchasing and material departments.
This is a 16 month contract term.
Your Responsibilities
Interface with various departments of materials management, production plans and material supply
Procurement of components, MRO items, raw materials etc. Purchases supplies and production materials. Manages all supplies in supply base.
Issue material releases to suppliers as required. Monitor and manage vendor shipments to ensure release adherence and always maintain appropriate inventory levels.
Utilize system-based reports to identify risk and provide update on status daily. Proactively manage potential shortages.
Ensure, with the cooperation of other Company departments and Corporate that the division achieves and maintains the highest possible customer rating for satisfaction;
strive for zero defects in all areas of the business.
Support material and purchasing in developing and launching SAP as required. Perform, direct and or / carry out any other reasonable duties as required by Management.
Who we are looking for
Minimum completion of a Post-Secondary Degree / Diploma
PMAC Designation is preferred
3-5 years of automotive (Tier 1) experience as Purchasing / Materials manager within a complex organization
Your preferred qualifications
Well-developed communication, organizational interpersonal and analytical abilities
Sound computer skills, including knowledge of software in current use
Supplier contract negotiations
Sound leadership skills (previous supervisory experience, preferred)
Strong analytical / organizational skills
Understanding of lean manufacturing, as asset
