Overview

Full-time perm : Technical Trainer and Operational Enablement Lead

GemTek Recruiting is partnering with an elite, global technology organization to hire a Technical Trainer and Operational Enablement Lead. This is a highly respected client of ours and a fantastic environment for professionals who want to work on complex, large scale network operations with strong leadership and long term vision.

This role is responsible for building and institutionalizing operational training, documentation, and workflows to ensure operational teams are fully prepared, certified, and execution ready as systems scale.

Location

On-site in Gatineau, QC
Temporary work location in Ottawa, ON during transition
On site presence required starting 2026

Required Experience

Post secondary education in telecommunications, network engineering, technical communications, or related field

5+ years of experience in technical documentation, training, or operational enablement within complex technical environments

Experience working with cross functional operations, engineering, and project teams

Strong documentation and communication skills

Proficiency with tools such as Confluence, SharePoint, and MS Office

Bilingual English and French preferred

Key Responsibilities

Develop and maintain Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) and operational workflows

Design role based training programs, onboarding materials, and certification content

Create and manage a centralized operational knowledge base

Adapt vendor training and deliver Train the Trainer programs

Support operational readiness, testing feedback, and continuous improvement

Align training delivery with system activation and operational ramp-up milestones

Track training completion and baseline competency requirements

Develop incident response and escalation playbooks
