We’re searching for a charismatic, enthusiastic, experienced first aid instructor to join the Fundamental First Aid team in a full-time capacity.
The ideal instructor is passionate about first aid, excels at engaging students, and is excited to grow their career with us as we invest in their training and development.
This is a full-time, salaried position.
Responsibilities :
- Teach Canadian Red Cross, and WorkSafeBC First Aid courses both at our Vancouver location, and on-site at client facilities for private courses when required.
- Represent Fundamental First Aid by providing an exceptional, best in class experience for all students
- Maintain all administration in a timely and efficient manner, and be prepared for each class prior to start time
- Have fun in class, and create an engaging and interesting atmosphere that promotes learning for all students
- Assist leadership team with administration duties where required
- Help supervise, advise, and mentor our team of contract instructors
- Represent Fundamental First Aid at events, conferences, and speaking engagements
Requirements :
- 2+ years of experience teaching first aid mandatory
- Must currently be a signed-off Canadian Red Cross Standard First Aid Instructor or WorkSafeBC Basic First Aid Instructor
- Experience teaching Transportation Endorsement and / or OFA Level 3 a bonus, but not necessary
- Fluent understanding of English, both written and oral
- Fluency in other languages a benefit
- Passionate about first aid and teaching others lifesaving skills
- Must be physically capable of performing all first aid tasks
