The Money Laundering Reporting Officer (MLRO) is a designated position responsible for ensuring that ACE Money Transfer is fully compliant with local and international money laundering, counter terrorist financing and other financial crimes laws / regulations.

The MLRO will draft and issue policies, guidelines and procedures related to the anti-money laundering, anti-bribery, counter-terrorist financing and other compliance related areas.

MRLO will be responsible for providing regular reports, on a formalized basis, or as soon as made aware if considered necessary, covering all aspects of money laundering or financing of terrorism.

MLRO is responsible for advising on issues regarding money laundering and terrorist financing along with ensuring sufficient education of management and employees within the approved policy framework.

MLRO will also ensure that company regulations, procedures and controls are up to date and adhered to, conduct anti-money laundering compliance risk assessments, monitor periodical compliance audits by the Compliance team and regularly review and improve control policies and procedures where necessary.

The MLRO will be responsible for receiving Suspicious Activity Reports (SARs) from Compliance and other teams and, where considered necessary, make appropriate disclosures to local FIUs.

MLRO will be coordinating with local regulatory bodies and will also coordinate and facilitate visits by regulatory bodies at any ACE location.

Ensuring that the Company is effective in both preventing and reporting attempted Terrorist Financing and Money Laundering activity.

Ensuring the retention of all records regarding enquiries received from law enforcement authorities and records relating to SARs.

Providing training, support and advice to staff on all aspects of anti-money laundering, anti-bribery, counter-terrorist financing, fraud and other financial crimes along with adherence to AML / CTF regulations, company policies and the methods to avoid risks.

The MLRO will report directly to the Board of Directors and work in close liaison with other departmental heads and legal / corporate advisors of the company.
