Established in and located in the heart of downtown Toronto, The Rosedale Day School (RDS) is an independent, co-educational school serving students from Junior Kindergarten to Grade 8.

The Rosedale Day School is currently seeking a full time Junior School Homeroom Teacher to begin on August 26, . The Teacher reports to the Assistant Head of School and works collaboratively with teachers and parents to support students.
This opportunity will provide experience in a collaborative teaching environment that consists of a strong and supportive staff and school culture, and a connected community.
Occasional evenings, and overnight travel for school trips is required.

The successful candidate will be expected to contribute to the co-curricular life of the School. Candidates with experience and qualifications in coaching (and other co-curricular activities) will be given special consideration

Qualifications :
A Bachelor of Education Degree (Primary / Junior)
An Ontario Teaching Certificate in good standing or equivalent
Knowledge of the Inquiry and Project-based approach to learning
Working knowledge and classroom experience with Google Apps for Education, Hapara, Seesaw and assistive technology apps
Previous Independent School experience is considered an asset
