Looking for an individual with 5+ years in customs, preferable in customs brokerage setting. Experience with HS Codes and high value shipments is preferred!

Responsibilities

Responsible for supporting the Customs department with a variety of tasks that include (but not limited to) :

• Open customer files, data entry, validate information, verify credit and invoice
• Obtain additional information or documents from customers, suppliers, carriers, customs agents and others
• Identify changes to profiles and advise intermediate or senior underwriter
• Communicate regularly, answering basic questions from customers, carriers and border agents
• Maintain and update tariff database, ensure accuracy
• HS codes

Qualifications

• 5 years of similar experience in Customs
• Exceptional customer service skills
• Knowledge of HS codes and Tariff codes
• Strong attention to detail and ability to multi-task
• Bilingualism, French and English (very important)
