Education / Experience : Bachelor's degree in Environment, Health, and Safety and / or relevant certificate or diploma. Advanced knowledge of the Microsoft suite (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint). Familiar with laws, regulations, standards, and requirements of the CNESST that are applicable to the business. Good knowledge of ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 standards. Knowledge of industrial hygiene is an asset. Minimum of 3 to 5 years of experience in a similar position; unionized environment is a plus.

We are currently hiring an EHS Coordinator for our energy client. The EHS Coordinator will be responsible for promoting health, safety, and the work environment (EHS) to create a healthy and safe workplace for all employees. This is a 12-month contract opportunity.
Overview
Brunel is seeking an EHS Coordinator to support health, safety, and environmental initiatives at an energy client site. This role focuses on promoting EHS best practices, coordinating activities, and ensuring compliance with applicable standards and regulations.
Responsibilities
- Act as a coach / mentor / resource for major EHS issues for the operation.
- Coordinate environment, health and safety activities within the company, such as the health and safety committee and coordination.
- Work with the union safety representative to investigate and monitor trends in accidents, incidents, inspections, audits, and corrective actions.
- Act as a coach and advisor for management of the EHS (Health, Safety, and Environment).
- Manage the reporting, investigation, and analysis program for events and assist in managing return-to-work processes.
- Contribute to the development and implementation of various EHS programs and procedures (ergonomics, lockout / tagout, scheduled inspections, waste management and audits, etc.) and ensure compliance with requirements.
- Organize activities to promote employee awareness, increase participation, and encourage safe behaviors.
- Maintain the EHS management system (ISO 14001 and ISO 45001) and participate in internal and external audits.
- Ensure that key performance indicators (KPIs) are updated, monitored, and maintained, and take measures to improve EHS performance.
