This role is ideal for a technically skilled and commercially driven individual with experience in engineering and sales.
Based in our Montreal headquarters in Kirkland, you will play a key role in promoting and selling our battery materials across North America, with additional sales support for the European market.
Who you are : As a part of the Battery Division team, you will work closely with clients at both technical and business levels to help them understand how our technology and products meet their needs.
Your responsibilities will include managing customer relationships, working on engineering specifications, and supporting strategic business development initiatives.
You will also engage with suppliers to provide feedback on material testing and qualification, and obtain pricing for quotes.
With your technical expertise, hands-on approach, and problem-solving mindset, you will contribute to the growth of our customer base and support Targray’s expanding presence in the global Lithium-Ion Battery (LIB) market.
This position requires a minimum of 3 days in-office per week, with additional days as needed at the manager's discretion Responsibilities Sales and Customer Engagement Actively promote and sell Targray battery materials throughout North America.
Work closely with customers to review engineering needs, specifications, budgets, and timeline expectations to align with their project goals.
Build strong, lasting customer relationships and find new opportunities to expand the client base. Technical Consultation Communicate Targray’s products and technology to both technical and business users, ensuring alignment with customer requirements.
Assist customers in navigating complex specifications and technical details to optimize product fit and application. Market Development Develop an in-depth understanding of the global LIB market, trends, key players, and products to support Targray’s positioning and strategy.
Identify new market opportunities and provide actionable recommendations to grow the Battery Division. Supplier Engagement and Pricing Support Engage with suppliers to provide detailed feedback on material testing and qualification processes.
Obtain pricing for quotes to support client project proposals and ensure competitive positioning. Sales Activities and Travel Travel to support key sales activities, including customer visits, trade shows, and industry conferences.
Cross-Functional Collaboration Partner with marketing, logistics, customer service, and management to support smooth and effective customer experiences.
Support sales leadership in business development and strategic account management initiatives. Requirements Bachelor’s degree in engineering (preferred) or a related field.
1-4 years of experience in technical sales, with a proven record of driving revenue growth and expanding customer and market share.
Experience in Lithium-Ion Batteries or a related industry (an asset). Expertise in managing complex sales environments and building deep relationships with decision-makers.
Demonstrated initiative, leadership, and strong sales acumen, with a hands-on approach to client engagement. Resourceful problem solver with a strategic mindset and excellent communication skills.
