Valard Construction LP is looking to fill the positions of Journeymen Powerline Technicians and Apprentices to join our team at Edmonton.
We are looking for self-motivated, team player, dedicated individuals who are willing to work as part of a dynamic team that provides crucial support to Valard’s projects.
Requirements
- Qualified Red Seal Journeymen Powerline Technician.
- Class 5 license minimum, preference given to 1 & 3 license.
- Experience in climbing wood pole structures.
- Experience / training in craning and rigging.
- 25kV Rubber Glove experience considered an asset.
- First Aid and CPR.
- Experience working on ATCO and Fortis utility systems.
- Working at Heights.
- Familiar with operating and maintaining various types of heavy equipment.
- Experience in maintenance and construction of distribution lines, coupled with the ability to follow instructions and procedures.
- Qualified switchman for ATCO and Fortis systems considered an asset.
- Willing to travel and work extended hours.
- Safety oriented.
- Positive Attitude and good work ethic.
