As a Sr. Supply Chain Manager your role will be to lead key performance metrics to measure and continuously improve regional supply chain optimization, cost improvement, and supplier performance.
In addition, this person would also manage risk management programs across supply chain. The role will also assist the Global VP, Supply Chain in managing and driving supply chain strategic programs across Lumentum.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead key performance metrics to measure and continuously improve regional supply chain optimization, cost improvement, and supplier performance.
- Assists Global VP, Supply Chain in managing and driving supply chain strategic programs across Lumentum
- In addition, this position will be managing SC risk management and analytics functions
- Develops, structures, and drive programs to assess and address risk factors impacting our extended supply chain.
- Implement scalable and sustainable solutions to measure and reduce risk exposure
- Responsible for managing the Supply Chain Risk Management (SCRM) Programs.
- Drive supply chain process enhancements by working with supply chain and other functions
- Leads and manage Supply chain activities in factory transfers
- Builds and maintains strong, trusting relationships with leaders across different functional leaders within SC and other functions
- Collaborate consistently with in-house engineering, estimating, manufacturing, warehousing, and field teams to deliver continuous improvements to the business.
- Lead supply improvement initiatives across Lumentum’s materials and other product spend
- Lead sourcing initiatives for optimized materials; build new supply chains for materials for innovative research and development initiatives
- Other responsibilities as required.
Required Experience :
- 10+ years of demonstrated success and experience in supply chain preferably in optical, electronics, or electrical industry.
- 3-5 years of management / leadership experience
- Experience managing SC risk management and analytics functions
- Knowledge and understanding of sourcing strategy; electrical and optical industry product
- Excellent management skills, timely decision making and effective delegation needed to ensure goals are achieved and financial objectives are met.
- Superb business judgment coupled with strong strategic planning and analytic skills, as well as a proven capacity for rendering cost-conscious, objective business decisions.
- Proven effectiveness in people leadership, people development, and team building
- Able to work effectively in a team and / or matrix management environment, and lead people through change as the company grows.
- Demonstrates presence and earns respect among fellow managers and executives both within and outside the Company.
- Skilled in systems and tools especially MS Office, Oracle, other PDH systems
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Supply Chain Management or Business.
