What will you do?

  • Learn and grow as an important part of a team that cares about Reliance and its customers.
  • Prepare accruals and standard JE’s for the month end / year end
  • Ability to work with large volumes of data in order to understand trends and provide insight
  • Reconcile data between systems to determine inconsistencies and recommend / initiate process changes to improve performance
  • Prepare month end reports on business performance
  • Build analytical models to perform ad-hoc financial analysis to provide a broad perspective on financial impact and make recommendations to Management
  • Provide analysis and metrics in a timely and consistent manner to cross functional internal stakeholders
  • Organize, monitor and facilitate internal reporting to ensure initiatives stay on target
  • Take an active role during the budget process focusing on quality deliverables and provide support to FP&A team to ensure budget is completed within given timeline
  • Provide value-add variance analysis to drive performance
  • Act as liaison with other members of the Finance group and the organization to ensure data integrity, address challenges and identify opportunities for increased efficiencies and improvements

What do you bring?

  • A growth mindset : above all else, we’re looking for people who are dependable, ambitious and want to grow with Reliance
  • Possess or in progress of obtaining a professional designation (CPA, CMA, CGA, or CA)
  • Minimum 1-3 years experience working in a financial analysis capacity
  • Self-starter and strong team player, with a sense of urgency and a demonstrated ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong competency in driving analysis & building models through software tools ( Excel / VBA, Prophix)
  • Experience working with ERP systems or implementation preferred
  • Ability to interpret financial results and communicate them to non-financial users
  • Excellent communication skills both verbal and written
  • Strong problem solving and time management skills
  • Detail oriented and results focused, as well as the ability to see the big picture
  • Exemplifies behavior that is consistent with Reliance culture, values and leadership practices
