Job Description

BMO is currently sourcing for a Senior QA Analyst position on a 12- month contract.

BMO Capital Markets is currently looking for a Senior QA with strong analytical, organizational, problem-solving, and written communication skills.

The successful candidate will be detail-oriented, self-motivated and be able to work collaboratively with technology and business stakeholders of the project.

Here are some of the key requirements and responsibilities included in this role :

RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE (but are not limited to) :

  • Review the functional / non-functional requirements, user stories, technical design documents and other project artifacts to identify the testing scope and effort
  • Preparation and Review of Test strategy and Test plan based on the project requirements
  • Creation of test cases following the test process and approach, Review test cases to ensure coverage and traceability
  • Define test data and environment requirements as aligned with the project requirements or changes
  • Execution of test cases and documenting the test results and evidence in the identified test management tool
  • Log defects into defect management tool with clear description following documented process
  • Conduct regular test status calls for defect triage and tracking of test execution status
  • Identify risks & escalate issues in a timely manner. Communicate and address scope / schedule changes that will impact test cycles
  • Provide clear and concise Reporting on test status and defect metrics to management
  • Support business acceptance and user acceptance testing.
  • Work with Software Developers and Leads to understand project objectives and map out testing requirements for automation
  • Work on developing automation framework, creating and automating test cases
  • Manage review and sign-off all QA documentation with business and technology stakeholders
  • Comply with BMO testing process including tools usage and test methodology
