Job description
Adecco is currently hiring for a permanent, full-time Welder position in Bowmanville, ON to work for our client, state-of-the-art manufacturer that produces leading edge products. As a Welder, you will be responsible for the complete welding or fusion of the joints/materials.
  • Location: Bowmanville, ON
  • Shifts: Afternoons - 4x10's must be available 24/5
  • Pay Rate: Welder: $25.58-$30.00 depending on experience, starting hourly rate
  • Assignment Type: Full Time | Permanent
  • Afternoon premium: 5%
  • Vacancy Status: This posting is for an existing vacancy .
Responsibilities:
  • Fabricate new metal components in accordance with product data sheets
  • Repair metal components to restore full functionality and safety performance
  • Solve problems and develop innovative solutions to novel situations that require a fresh approach while still maintaining required standards of safety, stability, and security
  • Maintain tools and equipment to a professional standard
  • Keep workstation clean and orderly to retain a safe and operational work environment
  • Execute welds in a professional manner, examine work pieces for defects, and measure work pieces with templates
  • Work independently or with a small team of other welders to complete large and complex projects
  • Manage workflow, meet deadlines, and troubleshoot problems daily, in addition to fabrication duties
  • Weld assembly as directed by company standards
  • Follow, create, and help maintain welding procedure specifications
  • Always keep work area clean and organized
  • Weld in flat and vertical planes (all position welding)
  • Selects, positions, and aligns and bolts parts or fixtures to be welded
Requirements
  • Post-secondary education in welding required
  • 3-5 years of experience as a Welder in a manufacturing environment
  • Experience with All-Position welding techniques
  • Knowledge of applicable safety standards
  • Ability to learn quickly
  • Ability to multi-task, detail oriented, analytical, organized
