Job Summary
We are seeking experienced Welders and Welder/Fitters for opportunities in a busy metal fabrication and welding environment in Holland Landing, ON. This role is ideal for candidates with MIG welding experience who enjoy hands-on work, custom fabrication, structural steel, fitting components, and producing high-quality welds in a shop setting.
This is a strong opportunity for dependable welders looking to build long-term stability with a team-oriented operation that values safety, quality workmanship, and skill development. The environment offers structured training, supportive shop leadership, and opportunities to continue developing your welding, fitting, blueprint reading, and fabrication skills.
Multiple openings are available, including afternoon and day shift roles. Candidates should be comfortable working in a heavy steel fabrication, machining, or assembly environment and be committed to producing accurate, clean, and consistent work.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform MIG welding and fitting of steel components in a fabrication shop environment.
- Read and interpret shop drawings, blueprints, fabrication drawings, and weld diagrams to complete work accurately.
- Fit, align, and assemble components using hand tools, torches, and related fabrication equipment.
- Inspect work for quality, accuracy, and adherence to specifications.
- Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work area while following shop safety procedures.
- Work collaboratively with supervisors, fitters, welders, and production team members to meet production deadlines.
Compensation and Benefits
- Pay rate: $24 to $30 per hour based on experience, including afternoon shift premium.
- Increase available after 3 months.
- Afternoon shift start time: 2:00 p.m. or 3:00 p.m.
- Training schedule: 7:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
- Location: Holland Landing, ON
