IS2 Workforce Solutions is recruiting for a Direct Hire Slitter Operator position with a leading food packaging manufacturer in Aurora, ON. This is a permanent opportunity to join a well-established company that produces high-quality packaging for the food industry.

Shift Schedule

Candidates must be available to rotate through all three shifts on a mandatory two-week rotation:

• Days: 7:00 AM – 3:00 PM
• Afternoons: 3:00 PM – 11:00 PM
• Overnights: 11:00 PM – 7:00 AM (Sunday night start)
• Pay rate: $22.88/hour with Shift premiums

What You'll Do

• Operate slitting equipment safely and efficiently to meet production goals.
• Load and unload material rolls.
• Perform quality inspections, including measurements, print quality, web tension, and defect identification.
• Remove defects and splice material when required.
• Package, label, bag, and palletize finished products according to customer specifications.
• Complete production documentation and enter data accurately into the system.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
• Follow all food safety, quality, GMP, SQF, and company operating procedures.

What We're Looking For

• Previous machine operating or manufacturing experience preferred.
• Experience in a food packaging, printing, converting, or production environment is considered an asset.
• Ability to accurately read a tape measure.
• Basic computer and data entry skills.
• Strong math and communication skills.
• Ability to read and follow work orders and production instructions.
• Comfortable using hand tools and cutting tools.
• Reliable, safety-conscious, and able to work well in a team environment.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and remain on your feet for most of the shift.
