Job description

The importance of water to the health of our world can’t be overstated.

As the frequency and intensity of floods, droughts and storms increases, the water industry must continue to build resiliency and lead from the front.

Together with our clients, we are thinking and doing things differently to help pre-empt and prepare for what's next. Be a part of this dynamic and committed team of diverse water specialists and drive change for your community.

You’ll be able to apply our powerful global network of skills and decades of experience to create positive water outcomes that respect nature and nurture communities.

Who are we looking for?

We are seeking a Linear Infrastructure Site Inspector to be based in one of our Toronto area offices with diversified experience in site inspection and administration activities for linear Infrastructure (sewers & water systems) projects including traditional open cut, trenchless, and sewer & water rehabilitation.

Be part of the dynamic culture! Our workplace thrives on a hybrid model, combining in-office collaboration and flexibility. Join us in office, three days a week to contribute, connect and excel in our vibrant environment.

Working with an energetic and high performing team, this position offers a variety of work and will see you involved in:

  • Monitoring Contractor work for compliance with contract requirements
  • Maintaining project records including diary entries and collecting as-built information
  • Recording and monitoring contractor progress against the project schedule
  • Making payment recommendations to Contract Administrator
  • Monitoring contractor work for compliance with applicable safety and environmental legislation
  • Taking action, in consultation with Contract Administrator and in accordance with contract requirements, when non-conformances are observed.
  • Identifying and making recommendations to proactively resolve emerging project issues.
  • Coordinating contractor’s work activities with the client, approval authorities, and utility providers
  • Coordinating material testing and supporting commissioning activities
  • Coordinating and expediting contractor documentation including shop drawings, work plans, and test reports
  • Collaborating with residents and local property owners to record and resolve field-level issues.
  • Completing required training including First Aid and Working at Heights.
  • Work outdoors in all weather conditions
  • Working nights, weekends, and overtime hours as necessary
  • Mentoring junior staff
  • Other duties as assigned.

What you will bring to the team:
