Job description
Are you a skilled Test Lead looking for an impactful contract opportunity? Our Edmonton client is seeking a dedicated Test Lead for an initial 8-month contract to drive the quality assurance strategy and test execution for a major higher education platform modernization project. You will play a crucial role in overseeing testing across application configurations, ERP integrations, and complex data migration efforts while guiding both technical teams and business stakeholders.

Responsibilities
• Develop end-to-end quality assurance strategies, test plans, and detailed test documentation.
• Lead testing lifecourses for software configuration, Student Portal validation, and administrative workflows.
• Validate batch-based data exchanges using SFTP and flat files between systems and PeopleSoft ERP.
• Define and execute comprehensive testing strategies for phased data conversion and migration initiatives.
• Collaborate with Business Analysts to translate functional business requirements into actionable testing scenarios.
• Identify recurring quality issues, design corrective initiatives, and drive solutions across project workstreams.
• Provide technical advice, progress assessments, and estimation metrics to the Project Manager and leadership.

Qualifications
• Minimum 5 years of experience serving as a Test Lead, ideally within a Higher Education setting.
• Hands-on testing familiarity with Blackbaud Award Management or PeopleSoft Student and Financial modules.
• Proven track record managing test strategy for batch integrations and complex data migration projects.
• Demonstrated ability to guide technical analysts and business SMEs through end-to-end testing lifecycles.
• Ability to obtain required security clearances for accessing sensitive student and financial data.
