Join a dynamic team at one of the established manufacturers of custom-built central air conditioning and refrigeration equipment based in Cambridge, Ontario.

As part of ongoing growth, we are seeking a Controls Technologist / Technician (DDC) for a full-time, permanent position.

The ideal candidate will have experience or strong knowledge in programming Direct Digital Control (DDC) electronic controllers, along with electro-mechanical control systems used in heating, ventilation, and air conditioning equipment.

Write software program according to sequence of operations as per plan and specifications, generate controls drawings, electrical power drawing /circuits.

Qualifications: Knowledge of Sequence of Operations for Heating, Cooling, Heat Recovery & Dehumidification Equipment.

Ability to generate AutoCAD Drawing for Electrical Panels as well as Control Schematic Drawing.

Knowledge of BACnet, Modbus and Ability to generate P&ID, sequences of operations, drawings, bill of materials.

Develop programming, graphics and sequences of operations for DDC systems.

Project management including problem solving and support during unit installation, testing and commissioning.

Knowledge of the operation of air handling units including fans, variable frequency drives (VFD), Actuators, temperature, Humidity & pressure sensors and control devices including compressors.

Basic knowledge of AutoCAD drawing software, experience in startup, Proficiency in English (reading specifications, communications, etc.) is required.

Experience in troubleshooting, wiring and installation of electrical and HVAC components.

Testing and Commissioning of the equipment at client Job Site. Successful Candidate to have own transport for travelling to job site for start up, testing and commissioning of the equipment.

College/Education in instrumentation and controls with minimum of 2 years of experience in the field of controls related to HVAC & R system.
