Introduction

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented professional to join our team as a Purchasing Analyst. This role is crucial in managing procurement activities, negotiating contracts, and ensuring efficient sourcing and pricing strategies. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in procurement processes, excellent negotiation skills, and the ability to work collaboratively with various departments and affiliates.

Required Skills & Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Business, Engineering, Supply Chain, Economics/Accounting, or comparable education with additional experience
Minimum of 3 years of relevant work experience, preferably in the automotive industry, manufacturing, or high-speed production
Strong working knowledge of procurement processes and experience in an enterprise systems environment
Excellent written and oral communication and customer service skills
Prior work experience at client or in client's industry

Preferred Skills & Qualifications

General understanding of legal contractual concepts
Experience with Client Office Suite including PowerBI
Proven record in process improvements and cost reduction activities

Day-to-Day Responsibilities

Process requisitions, issue purchase orders, and manage price reconciliation and service contracts
Negotiate new contracts and renewals for products and services
Analyze technical specifications of spare parts and consumables and make sourcing and pricing recommendations
Work with end users to define requirements and specifications
Coordinate bid meetings for various projects
Resolve commercial issues for procurement activities
Identify new suppliers and assess their competitiveness on cost, capacity, quality, and other relevant factors
Support departmental reporting for internal KPIs and external vendor performance
Provide continuous improvement on cost control and cost reduction
