Mission

• Alberta Highway Services Ltd. will be providing maintenance services to Alberta Transportation on the Southwest Calgary Ring Road in Calgary, Alberta. This section of the SWCRR includes 31km of six and eight land divided freeway, 14 interchanges, 3 river crossings and a total of 49 bridge structures. Crews dedicated to maintaining these roadways will work out of our brand new facility located in Southwest Calgary. Operations, based on 24 / 7 / 365 manpower coverage, include snow and ice control, (plowing, sanding and salting) summer grass, drainage and weed control, surface repairs, bridge maintenance, overhead lighting and traffic signals, line painting and maintenance of signs, guardrails and traffic accommodation at accident sites.

Main Responsibilities

We are looking for reliable individuals who will be responsible for the day to day operations of the SWCRR. As a highway maintenance seasonal labor you will be responsible for work such as setting up traffic accommodations, flagging, trimming, mowing, crack sealing and installing signs, guardrail and delineators. The highway maintenance seasonal labor position is comprised of operating minor tools and equipment and physical labor. In doing so you will be providing essential services by ensuring the effective and efficient operations can be completed.
