JOB SUMMARY

The Speech Language Pathologist, under the direction of the Director of Clinical Practice, is responsible for assessment, treatment, education, and management of clients with speech, cognitive-communication, and swallowing disorders (children and adults).

Responsibilities :

  • Conduct comprehensive assessments to diagnose speech, language, and communication disorders.
  • Develop and implement personalized, evidence-based treatment plans tailored to each client.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams including physicians, psychologists, and educators for holistic care.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date client records, complying with all regulatory standards.
  • Engage in ongoing professional development and training.
  • Educate clients and families, providing strategies to support communication and swallowing, improving quality of life.

Qualifications

Education and Experience :

  • Master’s Degree or recognized equivalent in Speech-Language Pathology.
  • Registration and good standing with the College of Audiologists or Speech-Language Pathologists.
  • Preferred : three years of experience providing Speech-Language Pathology services.
  • Experience with in-home assessments and treatments; knowledge of auto insurance and legal systems is an asset, especially for medical / legal report writing.
  • Experience working with clients of all ages in various environments; strong communication, interpersonal, and decision-making skills.
  • Basic computer skills and proficiency with secure email; valid driver’s license.
  • Pediatric experience is an asset.
