Role description :
In this role you will be responsible for a variety of different tasks throughout the day as instructed by the site supervisor. You will manage the maintenance and inspection of provided equipment. Operate equipment in a professional and safe manner and continuously demonstrate effort to improve operations by working cooperatively with the team. In this role you will be responsible for arriving on site on time with a willingness to work on a variety of different tasks throughout the day. This role will require travel to project sites throughout Canada (90% travel).
Role accountabilities :
The Foreman Operator will be responsible for the maintenance and inspection of provided equipment. Following instructions from supervisor on site work with subcontractors and other site stakeholders to carry out tasks as instructed with safety in mind is paramount to this role. The successful candidate will be prepared to complete heavy equipment operations in a variety of weather conditions and operate equipment in a professional and safe manner. Operators will be required to complete a competency test for knowledge of equipment, inspection, maintenance, and operation. The successful candidate must demonstrate continuous effort to improve operations, decrease turnaround times, streamline work processes, and work cooperatively and jointly to provide quality seamless service. This successful candidate :
- May be required to go through background checks for some project sites
- Have a willingness to occasionally work long hours, atypical hours or weekends
- Follow site rules and company policies
- Frequent travel within Canada

Key Skills / Attributes :
The Foreman Operator must be proficient at operating Heavy Equipment (Excavator, Bulldozer) to complete a variety of tasks (bulk excavation, loading trucks, fine grade work, trenching, backfilling, and etc.) and have a strong ability to learn quickly, analyze information, and problem solve.
