We are looking for a Senior Heavy Civil Engineer to join our highly professional team of specialists who provides detailed engineering and project management on numerous infrastructure design projects. Your primary task in our team will be to liaise with clients, technical staff, accounting staff, and other support staff to coordinate overall project deliverables, schedules, and budgets. You will plan and develop engineering projects including the definition of scope and selection of problems for investigation, development of concepts and approaches, and making key technical decisions.
Your key responsibilities will be to:
- Direct teams of engineers and technicians producing drawings and calculations along with supervising, coordinating, and reviewing the work of other engineers
- Prepare work plans, schedules, and budgets
- Perform structural analysis, design, evaluation and be responsible for the preparation of calculations and drawings
- Prepare standard documents, such as technical specifications, under applicable design codes along with engineering reports and other technical documents
- Research and review design options for both technical and financial impact
- Liaise with other professionals, clients, and third parties as needed

On top of that, you will have:
- Hold a Bachelor’s degree in Structural Engineering or higher, with a minimum of 8 years of related experience in heavy civil structural design (bridge, tunnel, marine structures), or an equivalent combination of education and work experience
- Be a registered Professional Engineer in home province or state, or ability to obtain registrations within 12 months of employment
- Be familiar with the use of structural design codes such as CSA:S6, and/or AASHTO along with having sufficient exposure to structural analysis software programs (ex: CSiBridge, MIDAS, SOFiSTiK)
- Be conversant in the use of engineering software, such as Mathcad or Excel, to efficiently produce engineering calculations
- Be proficient in the production and delivery of technical documents
